Raising Awareness for Vitiligo: The Annual Campaign
Every year, members of the vitiligo community petition their local and state governments to recognize June as Vitiligo Awareness Month or June 25th as World Vitiligo Day. This campaign aims to increase awareness, support, and promote education regarding vitiligo. Multiple support groups across the country participate in this community effort, and so can you!

A proclamation is an official designation of an event and can be a great way to educate the public about a specific issue or bring attention to a cause. A proclamation is an effective tool for gaining public recognition of your cause because it carries the full support of a key government official in your state or community.
June is Vitiligo Awareness Month. We encourage you to submit the proclamation to your local government offices as well.
